Under Moving Truck Rental Minnesota+ Self Moving Truck Rental+ Moving Trucks+ Cheap Pickup Truck Rental
Looking for a moving truck rental in Minnesota? Well you’re in luck! Minnesota is home to several moving truck rental companies, so you should be able to find yourself a great deal. We’ll share some of those companies with you in a moment, but first let’s make sure you dot all your i’s and cross all of your t’s before renting your moving truck. (Or pick up truck or van.)
Now one a few things that you will want to consider when renting a moving truck in Minnesota is if it’s the winter, make sure the truck has heat!
You’d be surprised how many stories there are out there of people renting a moving truck in Minnesota and they were stuck with a truck that had no heat. This is something you really need to watch out for when renting a moving truck during the winter months in areas that get snow and cold.
I remember one time I was moving from an apartment in New Hampshire in February and rented a moving truck. New Hampshire and Minnesota are pretty much the same when it comes to the cold in February. And on this day the sky was clear blue and the winds were blowing 20-40 miles an hour. The windchill was 20-30 below zero and if you spit, it would freeze before it hits the ground.
I arrived to the moving truck rental place and noticed that there was only one truck there. I RAN in, got the keys and started the truck - which it finally did start after a few attempts. I then ran back to my car and waited 15 minutes for the truck to warm up.
When I jumped back in the truck - it was still freezing in there! To make a long story short, I was stuck with the truck because I had to move that day and I had to keep scraping the ice off the windshield - on the inside! My breath created ice inside the truck windshield and it was the coldest drive of my life. Thankfully it was a move to a town only 15 minutes away. But still - it was NOT fun!
So when you stop into the moving truck rental place in Minnesota - make sure the truck has heat… and that it works! And bring some extra warm cloths just in case you get stuck with a truck that has no heat. :) Below are a few places you can try. Remember to get several quotes and look for deals for cheap moving truck offers!

Under Moving Trucks+ Moving Truck Rental
Are you moving and looking for a renta truck? There are several moving companies available when searching for a moving renta truck. Depending on what area you live in, there are several moving companies that you can choose from whether you are moving local our you want a renta truck for a 1 way move.
A few of the companies that offer a moving renta truck are:
Budget Truck Rentals
Penske Truck Rentals
Uhaul Truck Rental
Ryder Truck Rentals
2 Men and a Truck Moving Company
If you need a moving renta truck that will load your good and drive to your new house or apartment for you, there are a few companies to choose from:
1. North American Van Lines
2. Allied Van Lines
3. Wheaton Van Lines
Be sure to cotact several of these moving companies so you can get a quote from them. And don’t always go for the lowest price. I have moved a good six times over the last few years and I learned my lesson going with the cheapest moving renta truck company I found. As they say, you get what you pay for - and that holds true in the moving truck industry. That’s for sure.
Moving isn’t usually fun, it’s easy to lose things, and on top of moving, you have to worry about making sure the lights are turned on, you have heat or A/C in your new home, and at least 1,000 other things. Also, another little tip for you is to keep a notebook around at all times when calling moving renta truck companies and during your move. Keep a list of the ‘to-do’s’ and document EVERYTHING during your move as well.
Just lessons I’ve learned the hard way.

Under One Way Moving Truck Rental
One-way moving truck rentals are trucks that only travel in one direction. They will pick something up in one place and drop it off in another further down the state etc. This type of rental is normally cheaper than hiring a truck yourself because the company will pick your goods up and drop them off at your desired location in one journey which will save petrol and road miles meaning in is quicker for the company and the customer. In effect you both win. The company e.g. Hertz (a popular truck hire company) will save a lot of time meaning more jobs can be done in a day meaning more money for them and the customer gets a quicker and cheaper service. Everybody is a winner, which is a very rare occasion nowadays.
You are looking at around $50 for a journey, which is a lot cheaper than you hiring a truck. This could be an advantage or a disadvantage. Overall it is cheaper but you will not get the satisfaction of packing your own valuables up to go to a new place, a new start. If there is a problem it could end up costing you a lot of money. You will have to consider these factors when choosing which type of one way moving truck rental you want.
Use the tips above to get the best deals. One extra thing I have discovered about one way moving truck rentals is that you are not packing your own valuables up into the truck which saves you effort but there is a high chance that something will get damaged when the truck drivers are packing the stuff in the back of the van. They have the tendency to just chuck things into the back of the van, even if they have FRAGILE draped across the top of the box. If you are elderly or disabled it will be a great help for someone else to pack your valuables but be prepared for the worst.

Under Moving Truck Rental
Moving Truck Rental headaches? Everyone knows it can be a very big hassle moving house and there are moving truck rental companies out there that will make it a great struggle. Make sure you find the right company for you. I would not just jump straight in with the cheapest you can find; although this is an important factor have a look at the customer service and satisfaction ratings from other customers. There is nothing worse than hiring a truck and it breaking down halfway through your journey. Also look for safety and reliability.
Once you have found a company there will be a lot of things to decide; which size truck you need (larger more expensive), how long you need the truck for and which type of service do you want. There will be at least two trucks to choose from. The most common been self- service and the next common been one way moving truck rental. I would always go for the self- service, that’s if you’re able enough to pack your own goods up. It will be the cheaper option my far.
All companies will charge for gas. Generally the tank will be nearly empty when you receive your truck to go and do your business. It can be worth haggling for some petrol in the tank because this is a cost that will add up in the overall cost of hiring a truck. It would be helpful living in Canada at his point because gas is a lot cheaper there than here in United States of America. Also you will most likely have to give a deposit just incase you damage your hired truck this can be up to $500. If you do crash or damage the truck I will give you the advice to try a garage. It may work out cheaper than $500 to fix the damage meaning you will get your deposit back and you will be saving money.
Depending on what you are using your truck hire for, I would guess most people for moving goods from old house to new. You can either book online, over the phone or person-to-person. I like doing it person to person because you can build up a relationship with the dealership meaning there is a slight chance of a discount or if there is any damage to the truck he may let you of the deposit. Every little thing helps, especially if you are low on cold hard cash.
If you need to transport a lot of goods and it has to be one journey I would always consider using trailers that will reduce the costs dramatically especially if it saves on hiring two trucks. U haul moving truck rental does a good deal of half price trailer rental with each truck hired. If you want to deliver across national boarders it will make a lot of sense to use a truck and a trailer instead of two trucks because there is a premium on moving goods across boarders. Although this has been abolished in the EU with the shenzen agreement.

Under Self Moving Truck Rental
Self moving truck rentals are by far the cheapest option. In my case I would always go for this type of truck hire because you will save you so much money. A typical price can be $60 per day of use. Although it will be a lot cheaper than any other option you will have to consider a few factors including: Are you able enough to pack your own goods into the truck? (You will most likely have some very heavy goods in your house e.g. a TV).
Do you have the time to pack all your own goods into the truck? And finally do you have a driving license? This may sound trivial but people will not have a driving license and expect to driver their own truck. I am sorry but this is just not possible.
This is the most common type of hire truck service because it is the cheapest and probably the most rewarding. You will know in yourself that your house is empty. You will be able to give it a good farewell. If you are using the truck for business like filling it with tiles for a new bathroom etc this will be the best method of transportation for you.
It is a very simple process just pick up the phone or go on the internet and book a truck to be delivered to your desired location and your ready to start packing or picking depending on your plan of action. All companies will provide this service and often prefer you to hire the trucks out than them using there own labour on people driving and packing gods in and out of the trucks. You will most defiantly have to pay for the gas you use, although this is subject to negotiations. You will have to pay for any tolls you go through. These are all added costs, put them in your budget as they can add up and totally surprise people.

Under Moving Truck Rental Deals
If you want to get a moving truck rental deal, from past experience when I have hired a truck to do some packing the process goes like this:
- Ring the company that you have found do the best price ask if they have any trucks available in the size you need. He will most likely say yes if you are on a weeknight and on a weekend it will be touch and go. Agree a rough price for the day or however many days you need it then ask him what time it will be ok to pop in and agree the finer details.
- Once you have agreed these details go in and build up a relationship with the dealer. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a money saving expert have a go at negotiating the price down from the original one quoted on the phone, I can guarantee if the dealer likes you, you will get some sort of discount. It may not be money off the truck rental but it might me some fuel in the tank or he might make sure the time the truck is delivered to you will be nice and early so you can get started before the rush hour.
- Once this has been done sort out the insurance details, time/date etc. Pay the money and the deposit and wait for the delivery and away you go. While this is happening sound very grateful for discount he has given you whatever shape of form it is in.
- Remember don’t be scared to ask for discount this is the best way to get a saving. There will be a large gap between prophet and loss in these companies. They can always afford to give you money off or petrol in the tank. Even if it is a $20. This adds up here and there. Go for it, don’t feel bad it is the customers right.

Under Moving Truck Rental Advertising
For the unbelievable amount of people that move house each year in the United States of America the cheap moving truck rental companies have to advertise there businesses. They do this in many formats each having their different target audience. I would say they mainly aim at working class families because they are the people that move the most. They will be compensating for a new family member etc.
Cheap moving truck companies mainly advertise in the yellow pages or on the Internet. Cheap moving truck companies are hardly ever seen advertising on television because this is a very expensive process. Most cheap moving truck companies are small family run businesses meaning they do not have the funds to advertise on the television. It would be an ideal place to advertise because it would hit their target audience of families because they watch a lot of television when they are winding down at night after a hard days work.
In the yellow pages you will normally see a small advert stating the name of the cheap moving truck rental company and a contact number. This will usually be a mobile number, house number or a fax number. There are never any pictures on these adverts because the quality is not great but there is sometimes a logo that will catch the reader’s eye or maybe a catchy slogan. For example ‘ the cheapest cheap moving truck rental in town’.
The Internet can provide a very cheap facility for advertising cheap moving truck rental companies they will usually contain large pictures showing an example of a cheap moving truck. This will hopefully attract customers and make them want to use your firm. These will also usually include a map of how to get to the truck rental depot and even a ‘money off’ coupon

Under Canada Moving Truck Rental
In Canada cheap moving truck rental companies are dotted all over the country. For some reason the price in Canada seems to be very cheap compared to the United States of America. You are looking at around half the price in Canada. One of my suspicions is that it is because there are so many cheap moving truck rentals in Canada they all compete with each other and the price is brought down to a minimum. This must mean that there are more people moving and in fact, this is very true there are over 600,000 people-moving house each year on average which will mean a great demand on cheap moving truck rental. I have estimated that at least 4/5 of these people will need to hire a truck which means around 480,000 trucks may be hired out each year. This is very big bucks and worth millions to the economy.
In Canada cheap truck rental has been around for many years one of the first truck hire companies was Two Men and a Tin can, which was founded, in the early 1980s by brothers Brid and Jon Sober in Lansing, Michigan. Using an old pickup truck, they performed moves in their spare time. In 1985, the company purchased a 14-foot truck for $350 and hired a pair of movers. The company website reports that this was the only capital investment ever made in the company, the rest of the growth made possible by profits turned from the company.
Today, Two Men and a Truck has nearly 1,400 trucks in its fleet and boasts more than 194 locations in North America. They have offices in 28 states and Toronto, Canada area. They have a 99 percent customer referral rate. They have completed their 3 millionth move in 2007. There is a very large tradion in this family. I feel in canada been part of a cheap moving truck rental company in canada is very special.

Under U-Haul Moving Truck Rental
U haul is one of the largest moving truck rental company’s in the US. Uhaul has made it due to the low price that it charges for renting one of its basic u-haul trucks. The prices start from $19.95 for every day of use. Plus mileage charges which are around $10 per 20 miles. Other reasons why it has been so successful are because of its go green policy of exchanging used packing boxes for old, which are recycled. This makes everyone feel better in themselves for saving the planet. They have also expanded into a multi function right move moving truck Rental Company.
U Haul can be found all over the USA. I would definetely give it a try. Just remember to never let your process of moving stress you out and always be careful in what you are actually paying for.
