Looking for a cheap moving truck? Cheap moving trucks can be found out there, but you need to remember the saying, you get what you pay for. Sometimes it’s worth paying a little more than settling for the cheap moving truck route. And the same goes for cheap moving truck insurance. Be sure to shop around and also call your car insurance company to see if anything is covered before you agree to add on coverage.
Cheap moving trucks doesn’t mean that they are in bad condition or falling apart really. You can get a cheap moving truck by finding a coupon for moving truck companies. Sometimes companies like Ryder, U haul, Penskee, and others offers cheap moving truck coupons that you can find in the newspaper or or online.

Moving truck companies. huh! I can’t tell you how many times people ask me, “what moving truck company should I use?” Nine times out of ten they are looking for a cheap moving truck that’ll get them from point A to point B. None of that fancy stuff that some of the ‘big named’ moving truck companies provide.
So here’s the deal…
Because I try to provide the latest and greated up-to-date information about cheap moving trucks, I sadly have to take a stand. And where am I standing? In the middle, of course. Now don’t get me wront, I do have my favorites. And I’m sure I could feel comfortable telling you who I think the best moving truck company is. But, being that my job, if you want to call it that is to report the news and latest tips on renting a moving truck, I’m stuck.
I could ramble on and on and tell you how much I love Budget truck rentals. Or Penske trucks are the best. Or I could say that a u-haul is the best moving truck in the world and you want to know something?
It’s not going to matter.
Why?
Because 99% of the time people will go with the cheapest moving truck they can find. And who could blame them? I mean with the gas prices where they are now, gas for a cross-country move would create quite a hole in the average person’s pocket. So many are going with the cheap moving trucks. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Under Starving Student Moving+ Moving Truck Companies
The Starving Student Moving Company started way back in 1973 and Starving Student Movers claim to have moved over 900,000 families since that time. I wonder if the Starving Student moving company will offer some sort of a price for the 1,000,000th move? A new car or house given away would give them some great publicity!
Starving Student Movers moves about 55,000 familes a year and can handle both long short distance moves. Just be sure to have enough beer and pizza on hand to fill those starving student movers!
What’s great about Starving Student Moving Company is that they do all of the moving for you. No need to worry about renting a moving truck or moving any of the boxes yourself. You are the boss and can sip back drinking an ice cold beverage while they do all of the work for you.
Not a bad deal at all!

Under Cheap Moving Trucks+ Moving Truck Companies+ Hertz Moving Truck Rental
Are you wondering if a Hertz moving truck is right for you? Will the moving truck be big enough? Will it be too small? Will it have a 30″ flat screen TV mounted on the rear-view mirror? (Ha ha… OK, we wish.) To help you out, Hertz Moving Trucks offers moving trucks in three different sizes:
1. Hertz 15-foot moving truck
2. Hertz 20-foot moving truck
3. Hertz 24-foot moving truck
Still trying to figure out the size moving truck you need?
Some advise from someone who has goofed big-time before: Always go a little bigger than you need! Ask me how I know that one. There’s nothing like moving in the rain and realizing that you still have several boxes, a couch, and a dresser that needs to be moved and finding out that the moving truck that you rented is too small!
So here’s an easy formula that’ll help you figure out the size of the Hertz moving truck that you need.
Simply measure each item that you are moving to determine how many cubic feet the item is. Once you’ve done that, add up all of the cubic feet and divide that number by the square root of 892 and times that by the age of your dog and then simply minus the total sum of the numbers on the Hertz moving truck license plate.
Ha - only kidding here. But seriosly, when you give them a call, let me know how many rooms you’re moving and they’ll be able to tell you what you need. But be sure to account for items that will take up a lot of space like kids toys, televisions, and boxes that you really shouldn’t stack other boxes on (like glass) but usually do anyway and hope for the best.

With the cost of gas going up and up, the costs associated with renting a moving truck goes up as well. If you are moving cross-country and you’re looking for a cheap cross-country moving truck, yes, you can find deals out there, but be sure to remember your gas costs will be MUCH higher than you expected!
How can you save money on your moving truck?
Many moving companies offer moving truck coupons. I’ve mentioned in previous posts that you can sometimes find them at your local post office in their free moving kit, which also includes coupons for various items like storage, boxes, etc. from local businesses.
You may also be able to find some information online by searching for “budget moving truck coupons”, or “uhaul coupons”, or “Penskee coupons”, etc. Bottom line - moving always costs more than you had exptected. And with the costs of gas, you can be sure to spend more money on your move than you may have thought.
When it comes to moving truck rentals, it really does pay (or shall I say SAVE) to shop around!

Under Ryder Moving Trucks+ Moving Truck Companies+ Moving Trucks
Ryder Moving Trucks are available in many areas and in several different countries. Ryder is found in the US, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Ryder offers several types of moving trucks and Ryder moving vans to help you move your home or business.
As of this writing, Ryder moving trucks is offering a 15% discount when you reserve your moving truck. Not a bad deal because 15% can be a nice chunk of change off the price for a big move!
I did some looking around on their site and found out that Ryder has a ton of locations and many moving trucks available. In fact, they have many, many moving trucks available:
Types of Ryder Moving Trucks
1. Panel Van
2. Parcel Van
3. City Van
4. Straight Truck
5. Stake Truck
6. Refrigerated Truck
7. Tractor Rentals
8. Single Axle
9. Tandem Axle
10.Tandem Axle Sleeper
11.Trailers
12. Dry Trailer
13. Flatbed Trailer
14. Refrigerated Trailer
For moving your household items, I would suggest a Ryder Straight Truck. It is a diesel engine and the Ryder truck is your best choice in this fleet if the total weight of your furniture and other items is less than 26,000 pounds.
As far as Ryder truck locations - they are literally all over the place - and odds are there is a Ryder truck rental location near you. I have not personally used them, so I do not know how Ryder is on their pricing.

Under Penske Moving Truck+ Moving Truck Companies
Penske moving trucks are the ones that I’ve been most happy with. A few of the reasons why I’ve been more happy with Penske moving trucks are:
1. Unlimited miles - Penske offers unlimited miles, which really saves money on those long moves.
2. The newest moving trucks - Penske has some of the newest moving trucks on the road. The seats are more comfortable, the A/C, heat, and radio always works, and they don’t smell like 30 bags of stale Doritos in the cabin of the rental truck.
3. Penske has over 200,000 moving trucks on the road - they know the moving business well.
4. Easy to understand bills - Penske doesn’t try to nickle and dime you like some other moving truck companies do.
I’m not affiliated with Penske in any way. But if I had to move again and I wanted to do it all my self (with a few friends, 10 pizzas, and a few cases of beer) I’d choose Penske moving truck rental.

Under Moving Truck Companies+ Self Moving Truck Rental+ Moving Trucks+ Moving Truck Rental
Trying to find a cheap self moving truck rental? Moving truck rental companies offer many different types of moving trucks and moving vans.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, it’s a good idea to stop by your local post office to pick up a moving and change of address package. I’ve had luck finding coupons for self moving truck rental companies.
A few things to keep in mind when renting a self moving truck:
1. Do your homework: Make sure that the moving truck company that you are renting from has safe trucks
2. Research: You can find cheap moving truck companies and expensive ones. Give them a call and find out the price of a self moving truck rental.
3. Tell them what you need: If you need to rent a trailor to haul your car or truck behind your moving truck, make sure that you ask if they have any trailors available. I used a Penske moving truck in the past and rented a trailor from the same location.
4. Give yourself more time: Moving takes more time than you usually plan on. So add a day or two as a buffer to make sure you are not running around or speeding down the highway.
Have a fun and safe move!

Under Storage+ Pods+ Moving Truck Companies
A Pod is basically a big container that you can store your belongings in. Pods have been around since 1998 and Pods offers their service to over 20 million people in 20,000 cities in 46 states. What happens if you live in one of the four states that doesn’t offer Pods? Well, sorry… you will have to go Podless.
When I looked into Pods before one of my moves, I found them to be quite expensive. Maybe it’s just cheap Pods are hard to come by or I live in an area where Pods are not close by.
I do believe that Pods are a great idea and I would have used them if they weren’t so much more expensive than just renting a storage rental for a year. However, if you live in a big city, or near one, you really should check out the Pods dealer or store in your area to find out how much renting a Pod will cost.
