For the unbelievable amount of people that move house each year in the United States of America the cheap moving truck rental companies have to advertise there businesses. They do this in many formats each having their different target audience. I would say they mainly aim at working class families because they are the people that move the most. They will be compensating for a new family member etc.

Cheap moving truck companies mainly advertise in the yellow pages or on the Internet. Cheap moving truck companies are hardly ever seen advertising on television because this is a very expensive process. Most cheap moving truck companies are small family run businesses meaning they do not have the funds to advertise on the television. It would be an ideal place to advertise because it would hit their target audience of families because they watch a lot of television when they are winding down at night after a hard days work.

In the yellow pages you will normally see a small advert stating the name of the cheap moving truck rental company and a contact number. This will usually be a mobile number, house number or a fax number. There are never any pictures on these adverts because the quality is not great but there is sometimes a logo that will catch the reader’s eye or maybe a catchy slogan. The Internet can provide a very cheap facility for advertising cheap moving truck rental companies they will usually contain large pictures showing an example of a cheap moving truck. This will hopefully attract customers and make them want to use your firm. These will also usually include a map of how to get to the truck rental depot and even a ‘money off’ coupon
